Title: 'Move Towards The Light'

All my paintings are very personal in nature, but this one is especially so. It turned out to reflect a lot of things I am going through right now. I still haven't really gotten over my Mum's death in 1999. That along with general thoughts of mortality you tend to get, on an increasingly frequent basis, as you get older. Loosing close ones. Passing over to the light and the fear of whats on the other side. Or an even greater fear that there is no other side.

I also lost my religion. It was weird. I was always a passive Christian. And then one day just woke up and it was like I misplaced it. Looked around and I couldn't believe it all anymore, couldn't find it anywhere.. Perhaps i'll find it again one day down the back of my sofa with all those peanuts and pennies?

So here is the result. I suppose death can be fear or faith or for some of us, fear of faith.
