To Thingys I wanted to explain a little about how my paintings relate to each other. I tend to put some of my characters into more than one painting. If I like a character then I want to know what they are about. Not their whole life story. Just how they came to be in the scene I am painting. What were they doing before that? Where will they be in a few years from then? That sort of thing.

It all branched out from this painting 'Q'. I thought, hmmmm. I like these people. What about these two at the front? Where would they be on another painting? Perhaps 10 years or so later? Retired? Sitting on a couch watching Television?

Then I thought about this guy here. A bit aloof. Standing apart from the rest. Whats his story?

Well here he is with a lady friend having coffee. So this is where he hangs out. (It Figures). But how did he meet her?

Ahh. There she is. On another table checking him out.
So what happens to them? Do they stay together?

Oh dear. Guess not. He's travelling. Going somewhere. Looks like he regrets letting her slip out of his life.
