This painting is very personal to me. I tried to capture that defining moment when the next person you meet is the one who will change your life forever.
In this case, it's a group of friends sitting in a club. Three of them are heavily engaged in conversation. They haven't noticed that their other friend is being approached by the viewer
They are equally unaware that their friend will soon leave their close circle. She has finally found the person she sought and patiently waited for all her life.
She did not know when nor where they would arrive. She did, however, know to keep looking and to always have an empty seat available just in case.
